- Original, free-range weaving of striking, artistic designs by individual fibre artists, using a cotton-rich textile blend to create functional art that is as vibrant, colourful and interesting as Africa herself.
- Our Master Pilani Weavers are accomplished fibre artists in their own rights and have carte blanche on their designs, often weaving their own stories into their work, bringing the rich tones and colours of urban and rural South Africa to life.
- Our Pilani Original range owes it's name to the Pilani Project in Khayelitsha, Cape Town's largest township, where mothers are taught basic nutritional principles using simple food staples, and where many of our Weavers and their families live.
